About Three Flowers Photography
Hey, I'm Charlotte!
Essex Wedding & Family Photographer, introverted people watcher and possibly the most sentimental person you could meet. I specialise in capturing emotive, authentic imagery from your love stories. The loss of my mum at a very young age, my own marriage and motherhood have shaped my perspective to be present in what I capture, to notice what matters and let it unfold. So, if you’re looking for a photographer who believes you should be unapologetically you, who doesn’t endlessly pose, but authentically captures you and your loved ones, then you are exactly where you need to be! Still, after 15 years of documenting weddings, it’s such a thrill and an honour to be trusted with telling a wedding or a family story so, thank you for considering me to care for your memories. I can’t wait to join you on your adventure.

Our Story
Storyteller, middle child, introvert. I understand the importance of sharing similar values when you choose your wedding photographer, ultimately you need someone you can gel with. You’ll be spending a big part of your day with them and to get the best out of your photos, you need to feel comfy. So here’s a little bit about me to help with that.
I’m living in a little Essex village with my 3 daughters, two Ragdoll cats, a text book orange moggy & my outnumbered husband. We both have pretty big families so our diaries and hearts are full but the fridge is always empty!
I’m a total foodie, history and true crime geek and when I don’t have a camera in my hands, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, or off having adventures with my family – we love a European road trip and have an ongoing love affair with Italy. Our youngest daughter is Florence for our favourite city and my husband proposed to me in Venice in the middle of Piazza san Marco, deeply romantic but also excruciating, because, if you ask me, I’ll tell you I’m very much an introvert. Doing my job though, and being around so much happiness does bring out the buried extrovert in me, if only for the day, before my social (and camera) batteries need recharging!
Family is at the heart of everything I do..
If you’re wondering where the name Three Flowers came from, it’s for these three. My girls were so little when I established my photography business and it’s grown alongside them, reminding me of my core beliefs about why I do what I do. I lost my mum when I was just 11 and so I lean heavily into the knowledge that photographs become more valuable as time passes as family members are gained and lost. Knowing that I can give this gift to my couples is what drives my passion for documenting real connection, real love and real family stories.
I’d love to do this for you too…

Our Team
I have an amazing team of photographers around me. People I've mentored through my apprentice scheme, as I firmly believe you can only learn how to photograph weddings but photographing weddings! This means I have a very talented and trustworthy set of second shooters who know exactly what I want from them on a wedding day. I also have my associate shooter Sarah, who lead shoots weddings on dates I'm already booked for. As a bonus insurance policy, should anything untoward happen to me, I have a set of experts on hand to jump in to cover me if ever needed. Plan for everything, right?!
Experience
I've been shooting weddings, events and families for over 15 years. I've pretty much dealt with everything you can think of from terrible weather to forgotten bouquets! I've been featured in wedding and photography magazines, on blogs such as "Love my Dress" and "Whimsical Wonderland Weddings". I've shot for Chelsea in Bloom, Red Bull and covered many corporate events.
Typical Clients
Whether you’re planning a huge celebration in a barn, a romantic vineyard wedding or a rustic farm shindig, every wedding has its own unique atmosphere. You might even be dreaming up a bespoke marquee or tipi celebration in your back garden, surrounded by family and friends. Over the years I’ve photographed all kinds of weddings across Essex, and the thing they all share is that they feel completely authentic to the couple at the centre of it all.
That’s exactly what I love to document — weddings that truly reflect who you are. Days filled with personality, genuine emotion and a relaxed, joyful energy. I enjoy getting to know my couples, hearing what matters most to them and being part of the journey leading up to the wedding. When the day arrives, there’s no awkward posing or hours spent away from your guests. My approach is all about quietly capturing the story of the day as it naturally unfolds. Because the real magic is always in those unscripted moments — the laughter, the happy tears, and the beautifully unpredictable parts of the day that won’t be on your shot list but you will remember forever.
Since any kind of spotlight is actual kryptonite to me, I’m incredible at sneaking around in the background of your day, grabbing those natural moments that you had NO idea were even being captured. And those portraits you’re probably already cringing about? You’re in good company my friends – I got you!
With games and simple prompts to ease you in, make you laugh, you’ll feel relaxed in the knowledge that I’d also hate the thought of any over-the-top performance, so that definitely won’t be on the agenda!
What will be, is one (or two, depending on your coverage) short and sweet 20 minute sessions for us to grab those all important portraits before you get back to the real magic of your day – hugging your guests, eating the food, making the most of that dance floor and forgetting I’m even there!
