About Venner's Table

I am a Michelin-trained private chef specialising in fresh, seasonal food and personalised dining experiences. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, hosting friends and family, or simply looking to enjoy exceptional food in the comfort of your own home, I create bespoke menus tailored to your tastes and dietary requirements.

Using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, I bring restaurant-level expertise with a relaxed, professional service, allowing you to enjoy memorable food without the stress of cooking or hosting

Our Story

My journey into food began at the age of 16 when I started working as a kitchen porter at Miller & Carter. What started as a first job quickly became something much more, giving me my first insight into the pace, teamwork, and dedication required in a professional kitchen. My real passion for food developed during my time at The Boot Inn, where I discovered the creativity and satisfaction that comes from cooking and serving great food. It was there that I realised I wanted to build a career as a chef. Eager to develop my skills, I joined Mallory Court Hotel, where I had my first experience of fine dining and the opportunity to work under Michelin-starred chef Simon Haigh. The standards, discipline, and attention to detail expected in a fine dining kitchen shaped me as a chef and inspired me too continually improve. Through hard work and dedication, I progressed through the ranks to become Junior Sous Chef. I then took the next step in my career at Simpsons Restaurant, one of the UK's most respected Michelin-starred restaurants, which has proudly held a Michelin star for more than 27 years. Working alongside renowned head chef Luke Tipping, I further refined my skills, deepened my understanding of modern fine dining, and learned the importance of consistency at the highest level. During my time there, I worked my way up to the position of Sous Chef. Today, I bring the experience, techniques, and standards I've developed throughout my career directly to my clients as a private chef. My approach combines Michelin-level expertise with warm, personal service, creating bespoke dining experiences centred around fresh, seasonal ingredients and exceptional flavour. Whether it's an intimate dinner, a family celebration, or a special event, my goal is to create memorable experiences through outstanding food.
