I’m Nick, an Exeter-based wedding photographer specialising in natural, candid and unobtrusive photography.

My approach is for couples who want beautiful, distinctive photographs without turning their wedding into a photoshoot.

People tend to feel comfortable around me, including those who normally dislike being photographed. I work around the day as it unfolds, capturing genuine expressions, relationships and unexpected moments without constantly directing people.

I also provide relaxed family photographs and natural couple portraits, keeping these efficient and enjoyable so they do not take over the day.

Coverage is available for intimate ceremonies, shorter celebrations and full wedding days. Every selected image is individually edited and delivered through a private online gallery, normally within seven days, with a small preview usually available within 24 hours.

Wherever possible, I provide one clear, all-inclusive price agreed in advance.

I was drawn to photography through a love of people, stories and the moments that reveal who someone really is. Over time, I found myself increasingly interested in weddings because they bring together so much emotion, humour, energy and connection in one place.

What inspires me most is not creating a perfect-looking version of the day, but noticing what is genuinely happening: the glance across a room, the nervous laugh, the unexpected interaction or the moment someone forgets the camera is there.

My background in working closely with people has taught me how important trust and rapport are. That shapes the way I photograph weddings today—preparing carefully, helping people feel at ease and then allowing the day to unfold naturally.

I have been working professionally as a photographer since 2016, covering weddings, private celebrations, corporate events, portraits and commercial assignments.

Over that time I have photographed a wide range of events, from small ceremony only weddings, to large corporate functions, developing a strong ability to work quickly, unobtrusively and confidently in changing situations.

I find myself more and more drawn to being a part of, and communicating the joy and love of a wedding day.

I focus on natural, expressive photography and communicating the genuine interactions and deep emotions rather than constantly directing people or interrupting the flow of the event.

All photography and editing is completed personally, with finished images carefully selected and individually edited before delivery.

My clients are usually people who want natural, expressive, distinctive photography without feeling that the event has been organised around the camera.

For weddings, I particularly enjoy working with couples who want to relax, spend time with their guests and let the day unfold naturally rather than spend long periods posing for photographs.

I’m especially well suited to clients who feel uncomfortable in front of a camera, as I work in a relaxed way and only step in with direction when it is genuinely useful.

I also photograph private celebrations and corporate events, where the same approach works well — capturing people, atmosphere and genuine interaction while keeping disruption to a minimum.
