My approach is sensitive, discreet and observant. I am always happy to engage if desired. Otherwise, I blend into the background allowing moments to unfold naturally, capturing the emotion, atmosphere and quiet in-between exchanges that truly tell the story of your day.
If you’re not completely comfortable in front of a camera, you’re in very good company. I regularly work with couples who feel unsure about being photographed, and one of my strengths is creating a calm, relaxed atmosphere where you can simply be yourselves and enjoy your precious day.
I can provide gentle guidance for family photos if required - but my goal will always be to help you be natural, rather than try and make you look neat - and then the rest of your day is yours to live, not pose for.
With a background in commercial photography, I bring reliability and professionalism and an easy presence.
My creative work has been exhibited internationally and published in print and I approach every image as a work of art - never bulk processed - because your memories deserve to be reproduced with the beauty of the moment.

A perfect 80th Birthday gift
We had a very relaxed family photo shoot (4x grandparents 4x parents 3x children), walking along the sea front on a typical wet and windy winters morning to mark grandads 80th birthday. Nick suggested we have some posed (looking at the camera) shots to start with, and then he worked in the background to capture a more relaxed set of shots. The photos were returned within a couple of days, and they are amazing. Nick was a pleasure to. Have in our company, and he discreetly captured our personalities. This was the best 80th birthday gift, allowing us to freeze a special moment in time.
