Wed by Wedd creates wedding ceremonies, elopements and vow renewals that sound like the couple - not a template.

Every ceremony begins with two separate questionnaires, giving each partner space to share the stories, habits and details that make their relationship what it is. A few carefully chosen friends and family members are also invited to contribute privately. This uncovers the good stuff: the running jokes, competing versions of how the couple met, small moments they had forgotten and things they quietly adore about one another.

Brayden turns it all into a ceremony written completely from scratch. There are no generic lines about love that could apply to anybody. The aim is to create something emotional when it should be, funny when there is something genuinely funny to say and relaxed from beginning to end.

On the day, Brayden arrives early, coordinates with the venue, photographer and other suppliers, and takes care of the details happening behind the scenes.

A Ceremony + MC service is also available for couples who want the same approach carried through their reception. Brayden helps shape the timeline, coordinates suppliers, introduces speeches and key moments, keeps everything moving and—most importantly—reads the room.

Wed by Wedd is based in North London, works across the UK and returns to Australia for selected weddings.

Hi, I’m Brayden. With a last name like Wedd, it would have felt like a waste not to end up working in weddings. I’m terrible with flowers, so celebrant it was.

I’m Australian, now based in London, and I brought the same approach to ceremonies with me: easy-going on the surface, carefully planned underneath.

I believe a ceremony should feel personal, natural and genuinely enjoyable - not like a formal script that two people have been dropped into. The guests should recognise the relationship being described, laugh because they know exactly what I mean and perhaps learn something they didn’t already know.

That’s why I get to know every couple properly and write every ceremony from scratch. I want it to feel as though someone who actually knows you is standing up there telling your story. One of my favourite compliments is when guests assume I must be an old friend of the couple.

I also work as an MC, carrying that same relaxed approach into the reception: keeping things moving, reading the room and making sure everyone knows what’s happening without turning into a game-show host.

Ultimately, I want your guests to leave feeling they know the two of you a little better - and that the ceremony was one of the best parts of the day, not simply the bit before the drinks.

I’ve spent the past four years writing and delivering wedding ceremonies in the UK and Australia, from intimate elopements and vow renewals to full wedding days where I stay on as MC.

That experience has taught me that the most relaxed ceremonies are usually the ones with the most preparation behind them. I take care of the writing, timing and coordination in advance so that, on the day, everything can feel natural and unforced. As an MC, I also help shape the reception timeline, introduce speeches and key moments, coordinate with suppliers and keep things moving without making myself the main event.

I work best with couples who want their ceremony to sound like them rather than like every wedding they’ve attended before.

They want laughs, but not a stand up routine; emotion, but nothing forced or overly sentimental. They might be planning an intimate elopement, a large wedding or a vow renewal years down the line. Some love being the centre of attention, while others would happily avoid it altogether.

What they usually share is a desire for something thoughtful, relaxed and specific to their relationship -and a willingness to let me get to know them properly so I can create it.

I’m a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants and a qualified civil celebrant in Australia.
