Yum Street was founded in 2010 by brothers Himat and Gurmail Bhakar, starting with a small gazebo and a big ambition to create memorable street food experiences. Inspired by their Indian heritage and a genuine love of food, they built Yum Street around bold flavours, warm hospitality and the belief that great food brings people together. What began at local Southampton markets has grown into an award-winning street food business serving weddings, corporate events, private parties and major festivals across the UK. Today, Yum Street is known for quality food, professional service and unforgettable event experiences.

Since 2010, Yum Street has built a strong reputation for delivering standout food and professional service across private events, corporate functions and large-scale festivals. Over the years, we have catered at some of the UK’s biggest events, including Glastonbury Festival, F1 Silverstone, Royal Ascot, Download Festival and Southampton Football Club, as well as private and corporate celebrations such as the Southampton FC Staff Christmas Party, Volkswagen’s 70th Anniversary Staff Party and John Lewis celebrating 25 years at West Quay, Southampton.
