About The Pig & Jacket
We are The Pig & Jacket, a street food & event catering company, based in Lewes & have been trading since 2014. We have been finalists for the past 4 years in The Sussex Food & Drink Awards (street food category) and are Grand Finalists for 2017 & 2018. We were also British Street Food Award Finalists in 2017.
The Pig & Jacket specialise in an 'All things pig' menu accompanied by our homemade sauces & chutneys
We aim to provide British food at its best, with high quality, free range, locally sourced meat which is affordable for all to enjoy. Our meat is from a farm assured, family run farm which specialise in free range pork & grass fed beef based in Laughton, East Sussex, (Mays Farm Cart), which has been nominated for Sussex Butcher of the Year 2017.
Our rolls are supplied by a small chain bakery based in Brighton (The Flour Pot)
We also have an allotment where we grow our own herbs & vegetables which are in sauces & accompaniments within our menu.

Excellent food
The Pig and Jacket catered our annual company party in Hastings. The food was excellent. Richard was really pleasant and easy company to have at our party. I would definitely recommend them.
Lovely tasty food !
We had a variety of meats and fish and all were very tasty, well seasoned and served with lovely breads and chutneys.
Fantastic food and service
This was planned to be a Company celebration lunch - unfortunately the morning of the lunch we were informed of a very valued and popular colleague had passed away the previous evening from Cancer. This changed the tone of the lunch however Cheryl and Richard offered to postpone at no cost if we had wanted to. The Pig was amazing and they were amazing with serving and making no-one feel uncomfortable but just coming and grabbing something to eat. What was left over they dropped into the Brighton Homeless center for us on the way back. great people to work with and amazing hog roast - thoroughly recommend them and will use them again.
