About Universal Live Ltd
Universal’s story began back in 1990 when we started selling camera tripods. Our Hire Department (now Universal Live Ltd) opened six years later with the arrival of Jon Eden as Technical Director. Since then we’ve never looked back - the business has grown impressively year on year, and now turns over +£10m and employs over 80 people. Many of our staff are long-serving employees who are extraordinary in their dedication to the company, taking great pride in what we have achieved and the high quality of service we provide for our clients.
Our Head Office is in Bradford, West Yorkshire, from where the senior management and accounts operate. It is also our largest premises with over 10,000ft2 of warehousing in addition to offices, repair shop and graphics suite. Our regional branches are in Manchester and Newcastle which each has over 5000ft2 of office and warehouse space. In addition to the branches, we have 12 AV Managers permanently based at hotel venues across the country.
Our frequent work in the EU and beyond has developed good local contacts and understanding. On our travels, we work in Scandinavia, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. We also work further afield and have for example in the last 12 months we have worked in USA, Brazil, South Africa, Singapore and Nigeria.
