Bertotti Gelato is a family-owned business founded by Diego Alfonso and Suzana Bertotti. Since 2012, they have been serving delectable gelato to the Hammersmith community, blending classic Italian styling with an American twist.
Diego and Suzana's passion for gelato led them to open their first store on Hammersmith Grove. The warm reception from locals quickly made Bertotti Gelato a beloved neighborhood spot. Encouraged by their success, they opened their second branch on Goldhawk Road in 2015, which also serves as their creamery. Here, they meticulously handcraft all the mouthwatering flavors that have gained immense popularity.
The dedication to quality and commitment to excellence have earned Bertotti Gelato several prestigious awards and accolades. In 2021, they were honored with the 'West London Business of the Year' award, recognizing their outstanding contribution to the local community.
Bertotti Gelato has also made a mark in the wider culinary scene, collaborating with esteemed establishments. Their unique flavors have graced the menus of renowned venues, including The Phoenix at Westfield Shopping Centre, Chotto Matte (one of London's top ten luxurious restaurants), and Lily Vanilli Bakery. The exclusive Absinthe and Mint Chocolate Chip Gelato were even showcased at a luxurious afternoon tea attended by His Royal Highness Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall at the Royal Theatre Dury Lane.
Diego and Suzana's commitment to mastering the art of gelato-making led them to study at Carpigiani University in Bologna, Italy, known as the pinnacle of gelato education. The knowledge and expertise gained from their studies ensure that every batch of Bertotti Gelato is made with precision and finesse.
