About Davies Catering Cornwall
Davies Catering Cornwall is an established business with a 5 star hygiene rating. Martin Davies has been a chef for 13 years, had experience in rosette restaurants in Cornwall, gained a Gold Chef’s Award and appeared on TV in 2015.
Martin is a passionate chef who loves the opportunity to be creative in the preparation and presentation of food. Martin began his chef career in popular high end restaurants in Cornwall: 'Indaba', 'The Rose in Vale' 'The Scarlet Hotel' and 'Gaudis'. Martin and Charlotte then spent a few seasons in the French Alps working for 'Ski Cuisine' and 'Scott Dunn'.
Martin and Charlotte worked together to run all aspects of the villa or chalet including; cooking, cleaning, menu planning, shopping, budget control. It was this experience that inspired us to provide this service in Cornwall for customers in their own home or in holiday homes
The concept today is very similar, we listen to our guests' requirements, write a menu tailored to your desire, source local produce, lay the table, prepare and cook the gourmet food and leave you with a clean and tidy kitchen.

We provide catering for private and intimate dinner parties and on a much larger scale for weddings, parties and corporate events.

Fabulous experience
I can't praise the whole experience highly enough: the food, service and overall value were outstanding. My family were blown away and we'd never use anyone else. Its just a shame we were in Cornwall on holiday and can't have these guys round every week!
Disappointing, we feel so let down
Martin and Charlotte catered for us on 05.09.22. Due to an issue with their suppliers, they arrived 1.5 late for our wedding breakfast which meant we had to rush our evening sparkler photos. On arrival they were apologetic but it then transpired they’d forgotten to bring an integral part of the main dish - the potatoes. Thankfully we had some they could use. It was our wedding day and yet they called several times during the ceremony, turned up very late and then broke their promise, to bring the forgotten potatoes the next day, which they did not. While they were both lovely people, we’re so disappointed that we’ve received no apology and feel they just don’t care about the stress & disruption they caused on our wedding day.
Outstanding & Classy!
I invited Davies Catering to create a dinner party to my brief and vision for the occasion of my wife's 50s Birthday. Guests comprised 10 adults and 10 children. After our first contact through Add to Event, Charlotte showed to be an excellent communicator with great understanding for my needs, soon introducing me to Martin, the chef, so he could answer specific questions I had regarding preparation and execution of the dishes. Each course was delicious, each plate lovingly prepared and the serving of the dishes happened flawlessly, as did the clearing after each course. Davies Catering have excelled in helping me to create the memorable evening I envisaged, by working beyond the call of duty, serving drinks with kindness and smiles.

Would highly recommend Davies Catering. All the food at our dinner party for my parents Diamond Wedding celebration was delicious and the presentation was very professional. Martin and his team are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had a situation with the oven but Martin coped admirably and presented us with everything we were expecting.

We would definitely ask Davies Catering to cater another event - they were fabulous. They catered two different menus with lots of nuances to both (for children and adults). Our 50 guests were made very happy!
