Hammer & Tongs

We are Hammer & Tongs, a South African inspired Braai (BBQ) restaurant & Wine Bar in Central London (Farringdon). Taking inspiration from the traditional Braai in South Africa our menu is entirely cooked over a real wood fire. The wood, called Sekelbos, is imported from Namibia especially. The flavour released into the food when the wood burns is unique and so tasty.
We braai huge, juicy and tender T-bones, Rib Eyes, Ribs and Boerewors (traditional beef sausage). We also love to braai Chilli Prawn Sosaties (skewers) and Mussel Potjies (like a Dutch oven) over the live fire. The best thing about Braai is there is no limit to what can be cooked over the crackling live flame.

We have a strong portfolio of events we've catered for in the past including weddings, canape parties, product launches, South African parties, birthday parties and more. Whether you're looking for finger food, canape style, sharing style or courses, we can work closely with you to create a flavourful, unforgettable, unique menu that your guests will not forget!
