About High On The Hog
High on the Hog is an experienced outside event catering company based in Gloucestershire, that you can trust to provide a professional service for your guests. We pride ourselves on meeting and exceeding our customer’s expectations, and we are always willing to go that extra mile to make your event a success. Providing locally sourced meats, our refrigerated vans ensure that they, as well as our chilled products, are served at their best.
Where possible, we use 100% sustainable plates and cutlery, as well as recycling food waste.
We do not use single use plastic.
We can provide the following services:
- Hog, Lamb & Venison Roasts for up to 300 guests.
- Succulent Rotisserie Chickens in a range of marinades.
- All dietary requirements are catered for
- Vegetarian menu inspired by recipes of Yotam Ottolenghi
- Our Big BBQ's can serve superb meat, fish, seafood & vegetarian food for up to 200 guests.
- New for this summer Spanish Paella, each large pan serves 40 portions.
Pie and Mash, all homemade choice of fillings, Creamy Mash, Champ or Bubble and Squeek
- Two dessert menus
- Weddings catered, full Afternoon Tea to full three course meals, range of menus and prices
Pizza ovens
- Outside Bars with full range of bar services for up to 250 guests.
New for 2020 Gfizz!, our Prosecco on tap and artisan Gin bar
Cocktails, also available from the GFizz bar service
Uniformed staff
Full stock of traditional crockery and cutlery, table linen, table glassware( including fun cocktail glassware )available for hire
Wedding Furniture also available for hire
We operate a sustainable and environmentally aware business. Our informal food offer uses Vegware plates and cutlery
We do not use single use plastics
All meat is sourced from farms with an outdoor rearing policy and all is fully traceable
We operate a sort and recycle system

Excellent food, fantastic staff and service!
We booked High on the Hog for a corporate event for around 30 people and the food and service was excellent. We had canapes on the roof terrace to start, there was plenty of food to go around and the waitress's were lovely. We then had a buffet style BBQ later on in the evening, which included burgers (meat, veggie and vegan), steak, prawns, chicken and salads.. all were delicious. Highly recommend high on the hog for any event you may be throwing!

Great food served by a friendly helpful team. The BBQ ( pulled pork, brisket and really good quality burgers and sausages) all of very high quality and salads delicious. Halloumi and side dishes all great too. Thoroughly recommend them.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your brilliant catering and excellent service. You listened to our requirements pre event (picking up some we had missed!), found solutions to our questions and issues and looked after us all on the day thus enabling Keith and me to relax and enjoy time with friends.
We have had many commendations for the hog roast from guests who were much impressed with the food and the service.
