About Life is in the Detail Photography
I was lucky to be born in Malawi - the beautiful Warm Heart of Africa, and being fortunate enough to grow up in such an amazing place inspired me, from an early age, to photograph it. I have had an interest in photography since then, a passion that has not disappeared over time.
I love to be behind a camera, observing, and recording events, as they unfold before my eyes. I like to use natural light, wherever possible and prefer unposed photographs, which capture the essence of the moment and the person.
My photographs tell a story, freezing special moments in time, enabling them to be displayed and re-lived for many years to come.

Great photographer!
Ruth captured our intimate wedding ceremony beautifully from start to finish. She was very accommodating and stayed beyond the agreed schedule to be able to do so - we cannot thank her enough for her flexibility. She produced a massive album of photos of different styles that reflect all the joy and excitement we felt on our special day. Thank you Ruth!

Absolutely fantastic service
Ruth was amazing she travelled over 3 hours in awful weather to get to my venue. When she arrived she snapped away without been intrusive but was happy to do anything I wanted, she captured some amazing shots and I can’t wait to see the full range of photos. I would definitely use Ruth again and will certainly be recommending her to family and friends.
