What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

There are a few things we need when compiling a quote, ideally, we would need date of event and timings, and a number of guests, the potential venue with details of venue organisers, and if it’s indoors or outdoors, also if there is a budget, with these details and our experience we are to build a custom quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It’s always good to ask the provider on their equipment and the service they provide, a break down of the product are always helpful for a client, two things that always gets overlooked is to ask if the provider has a contract and their insurance. To get to know the provider a bit better ask how and why they entered the industry

At Michael Mellett photography, we are a husband and wife team with a passion for photography, the idea to start our business was born from our own wedding, we have now been documenting wedding with photography, videography and drone photography for five years. Our motto really is we are there for the bride and groom so they don’t need to worry about the day being captured

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We’ve had a couple of booking, the clients have been amazing. The guests were such a laugh and accommodating- we always say to the guest before a ceremony if they want specific photos to let us know, and not to be shy, as that’s why we’re there. I always promote Add to Event as it’s such a good platform
