What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote to a customer, we need to know the service(s) you require, the date(s) on which the event is going to be held, a location so that our team to get to you and the expected start and finish time. Once we have this information, we can then process and decipher the most suitable equipment and staff for the job, which will result in the best price and service, tailored to your requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always ask the supplier what equipment they are providing, whilst remembering what you're hiring them for. If you're having a small birthday party, you don't want obnoxiously large speakers which will annoy your neighbours. Likewise, if you're holding an event for 1000 people, two small PA speakers won't be sufficient. We understand every event is different; Which is why we tailor our service to the requirements of the client! Another thing to bear in mind would include relevant experience; If you're planning a festival, It wouldn't be wise hiring someone with no previous festival experience.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Our passion is music. Our team have been involved in almost every aspect of the industry with decades worth of combined experience. We've been on the front line and seen it in its glory from different perspectives; from being the people who set up the festival, to performing as artists, from installing sound for a club to being the people operating the lighting combined with sound. Our point is, we've seen first hand the mistakes of companies and individuals who have paved the way for their downfall not knowing their business sector as we do. We understand the industry in all its essence; which is why we care about building healthy relations with our clients and providing them with a fantastic service!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are pleasantly surprised by Add to Event. All of our events have gone smoothly and we will continue working with them to expand our client base. We provided a PA system for the Suffolk Show and whilst there we met a marquee company who we now network with and help each other with services! I will always recommend suppliers outside of our industry to Add to Event.
