What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need the event date, event venue, what’s the occasion. We will also need a brief description of what type of balloons you are looking for ie: arches, bouquets, helium numbers/letters etc. Ideally, we would also like to know your budget. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable list of ideas and designs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, Find out how much knowledge they have about balloon decor. After all, we have been on numerous training courses to keep up to date with the latest trend. Also, find out what supplier of balloons they use, as better quality will last longer and give a better finish to the design, also make sure they have all the relevant insurances in place.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I used to work in a greeting card shop that also did balloons and learned from there my love of doing balloons, I realised that I could offer so much more than what the shop was offering, so I decided to go it alone, get all my training, became a CBA (Certified Balloon Artist) and now I absolutely love my job, the pleasure I get when I see the smile on my clients face when they see the room finished decorated with the balloon decor is priceless.
