What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The key factor is the time at the client's venue (from arrival to leaving) and the time playing, (very early arrival etc costs much more, but clients do not realise).

The location of playing (stage, indoor etc) also makes a huge difference.
A band has a large amount of gear and clients do not always realise how much needs transporting from the car to the stage area.
If it is necessary for the band to access the stage before guests arrive in order to set up and sound check, they will then have a 2-3 hour wait before performing which is all chargeable time which is different to being able to arrive by a "back door" and setting up discretely behind "closed doors".

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Essentially, the client needs to see your set list and love the song choices.

It would help if they could see you perform live, but a video might be sufficient.

All the points regarding timings and location are also very important.

A love for music and the pleasure that it gives drives us all to perform. We love performing as a team and from seeing the enjoyment and joy that we bring to our clients.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We applied for a Christmas party at RAF Upavon and ended up doing Christmas Songs, a jazz set and a party set. The evening was a fabulous success and we were invited back the following year. we are looking forward to Add to Event growing our business further.
