What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, I need to know the date to check availability, and the location to ensure I can get there. The budget and number of hours helps me determine whether or not you can afford my service. The number of guests helps me ensure I can provide a big enough service to cover your guests. From there I can offer the most suitable package.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't just look for the cheapest quote. Take your time to read reviews, and look for something special. There is no harm in asking for a consultation. Give your DJ the opportunity to showcase everything they have to offer, then you can make an informed decision;

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Being a creative person, I studied music my entire life. I learned to compose music from an early age, and eventually started DJing as a hobby. The passion for DJ gigs just slowly turned into a business. Now being an entrepreneur means I get to wake up every day and do what I love.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My Add to Event experience is relatively short compared to other DJs on the platform. I joined in summer 2022 and it was the busiest season of my life. I've been booked about 20 times via Add to Event, and half of those bookings are still in the planning phase.

If I had to pick my favourite event so far, it would probably be Lauren's 30th birthday. I think it was the first review I got on Add to Event. I remember the initial quote I sent her had far too much detail - I basically wrote her an essay! The funny thing was she accepted it and booked me right away. We spent ages planning her party, she sent me a Spotify playlist and it worked really well. It was on the warmest day of the year, it was a sauna inside, but everyone danced and sang regardless.

I would definitely recommend Add to Event to anyone in the events industry. You can pick and choose which events you want to do, and if an event doesn't feel right, you can choose not to accept it.
