What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to give you a more tailored quote, ideally I need the date of your event, this makes sure I am available. I need to have the number of people having their hair done, this means I can give you a more precise quote at the time which means you know roughly how much you will be paying, numbers may fluctuate but this can be discussed nearer the day.
Ideally the postcode of where you are getting your hair done so I can see if I need to factor in travel and fuel costs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly you need to be able to have a stylist you feel comfortable with, we are with you for the most special day of your life, so you do not want someone who you will not be happy with, please don't worry we will not be offended. I would like to know what sort of style/theme you are going for, as you will want a hairstyle to compliment your dress/theme. It also helps me get a picture in my head as to what you are after in terms of style.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started Marys Hair during the 1st lockdown when my children(4 in total) needed a haircut, so I went back to college to retrain, and here I am today building my very own business. I have a passion for hair up, including bridal and event hair. I enjoy seeing the final outcome of all your thoughts and ideas come together.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had a couple of bookings through Add to Event and I have had a great experience. I have been to a wedding recently which had I been selected for, The process is really simple. The brides words after the wedding was that the "comments on the hair was great, and that it lasted all day".
The bride was happy with her hair and her bridesmaids hair, and how they all felt secure and comfortable all day. I have recommended Add to Event to other hair and make-up artists.
