Tall Orders are a small coffee shop and cafe located in Dereham, Norfolk and provide event catering for any event from small business lunches to weddings, they specialise in cold buffets. They have a few ideas for your quote and what to check in a caterer.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote for a customer we would need the event date, a description of the event they are hosting, number of guests, equipment available at the venue and an idea of the type of food they are looking for, ie hot, cold, theme, canapés, sit down etc

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take a look at previous events they have catered for, our Facebook page is a great example with pictures and reviews from previous customers - and will give you some ideas on what kind of food you’ll need and what will suit your event. Pop into our shop and try our food and meet our staff, this will give you an idea of how your event will run. Ask plenty of questions to ensure you get the service and products you need for your event.

My passion for food and baking resulted in me setting up my own coffee shop and catering business. Focusing on delivering great tasting food to make people happy is our aim!
