What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote, I need to know the date and time of the event, the budget and style of catering they require, whether the venue is in door or outdoor and the estimated number of guests. From having this information I will be able to give a thorough quote and give you the best possible offer as I can.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ensuring that they know what they are talking about, e.g. dietary requirements, and whether the food is homemade or not (this isn’t a big problem for some people but may be for others). How they set up the food and how it’s presented, and ask about their menu and make sure you have a mutual understanding of what the customer wants and the supplier can offer.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Homemade By Victoria was born when I myself, Victoria Austin, won the Young Chef of the Year in Northamptonshire. This gave me the confidence and drive to make my business happen. My passion is providing 100% fresh and homemade produce for my customers, and ensuring I provide the best possible service to them as I can to make their day as special as they envisioned.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I am beyond happy with using Add To Event. I have already had 3 bookings from it and only been apart of it for under 1 month and they have all gone very smoothly. I have had a couple of good reviews already, which is amazing and it’s really allowing me to push forward in my business. I recently attended an event for a 'Celebration of a Life Ended'. The feedback was amazing, and my details have been passed on to many of the people that were there, so hopefully a few of them will order from me again. I can’t thank Add To Event enough, because it’s allowing my business to branch out of my area and to travel further afield.
