What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event and food wanted, the estimated number of guests and the location of the venue as well as the timings of the event. Once we have this we can then check our availability and then put together a proposal of services and menus we can offer as well as the costs involved.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask the provider about their terms and conditions. Also, ask if they offer tasting menus so you can get an idea of the quantity and quality of the food they offer. Ask them about their staff's training, qualifications and experience.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We are a long-standing catering business and have built up a great reputation. We have a 5-star food hygiene rating and are the only UK caterer to have achieved Gold in the "green achiever" scheme. We have a £10m public and employer liability insurance. All our staff have a minimum of a basic food hygiene certificate and many have much more qualifications in food hygiene and safety. We will always have a qualified first aider on site for our staff as well as your guests. All our equipment is gas safe certified and PAT tested.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had a few bookings through Add to Event and we have tried many other sites but Add to Event is definitely the best. The credits are reasonable and the opportunity to win some well worthy events through it. The platform is easy to use and they give you most if not all the information you need in the first instance to create a proposal for the clients. I highly recommend Add to Event to any fellow catering companies as well as anyone in the relevant hospitality and events sector. I will continue to promote the platform as it continues to grow and improve.
