Based in Worcestershire, The Vintage Van Company have a horse box bar and a wooden rustic pop-up bar structure that can be hired for weddings, special occasions and corporate events. It can be a coffee van, a drinks van or a prosecco van.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We can give the best quotation when you give as much detail about the event as possible and within what budget per person. It also helps to know how many drinks you are wanting per person or if this is unlimited. It helps to know the type of event, the trading times, how many guests, the location and whether it is indoor or outdoor. We can then give you a selection of packages or a bespoke quote depending on the event type.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look into them in more detail, using their website and social media pages - this will give more of an idea about the quality of their offering. Look at reviews and recommendations too. Go with your gut! If you get a good feeling about a supplier, like their vibe and their quote, book them.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
After running pubs and restaurants for a brewery, I wanted to combine my love of the service industry with my love of events and create a bar with a quirky feel, concentrating on taste and quality. I wanted the wow factor, which makes people stop and take a picture by my bar and I certainly have that!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I recently catered for a christening, that was local which is perfect. They were really happy with the quote and booked in straight away. We worked closely with the guests to make sure the drinks offer was exactly what they wanted and everything was perfect and stress free for them on the day.
