What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote I would need location and distance from me. The time that I was to perform, and whether they wanted anything pre-printed on the paper that I was drawing on

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking to hire a provider in my area of work - look for quality and experience rather than just going for the cheapest. The more experience the caricaturist has, the better people skills they will have acquired. They are likely to be more dependable and you can relax and enjoy your event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my caricaturing business 28 years ago, when I was very, very young! I started by doing fetes and fairs all around the country - honing my quick on the spot caricaturing skills. I then moved on to caricaturing at corporate dos and weddings all over the world. I prefer to be a bit more local now because I have a family, but local for me has a wide birth because I have family all over the place!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have really appreciated the work that I have got from Add to Event. It’s nice to know what is going on around you, that you can benefit from. I would certainly refer someone in a different trade from me to Add to Event, because I prefer not to have too much competition - I have told many a burger van about you! Before discovering Add to Event, I was doing mainly weddings as corporate dos had dwindled slightly over the years, but I have been picked up by more corporate dos again which I really enjoy.
