What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To allow us to provide a detailed quote to a customer, ideally, we need as many details of the event as possible such as the date, a brief outline of the type of event they are hosting as well as an idea of the type of catering required, i.e a hot and cold buffet or a sit-down meal. It would also be helpful to provide details of the potential venue and whether they have kitchen facilities available to use. If we have enough information it allows us to provide an accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask the provider if they are able to deliver the service they are looking for and also if they can cater for all types of dietary requirements and who understand the needs of those with specific dietary needs. I would expect the customer would want to hire someone who is able to fulfil their needs and to be able to fulfil my needs. It is always good to check reviews of previous work and sample the food if possible.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business on a small scale when friends and family were asking me to provide food for events they were hosting. I enjoyed it so much and got such excellent feedback that I decided to build on my skills and provide food on a larger scale and my business they grew from there by word of mouth and personal recommendations. I am passionate about providing the best quality food and service that I can and always aim to ensure that I exceed people's expectations. This has led to repeat bookings from people who have loved my food and from people who have attended their events and have loved what I do.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am new at the moment to this platform and I am hoping that this will lead to an increase in confirmed bookings. The system of sending a quote is simple and straightforward and this allows me to make direct contact with future clients and discuss their individual requirements.
