What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote ideally we need the date, time and how many hours you would like someone for. If you have any idea of the budget ( mainly for larger events as our party prices are set) that's helpful too. If you have a large event happening try to let us know an estimate of how many attendees there will be that way we can give you a clear and realistic idea of how many artists you may need.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask what events or parties they have done and how these have gone. Do customers come back to them time after time? This is a good indication of what their service is like and how they build loyalty. Also good to know the cancellation policy, no one wants to cancel an event from either side of the booking but sometimes things happen so make sure you know if you are liable for deposit costs or whether a booking can be moved or postponed.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The company was set up to offer more flexibility for me to work from home and be my own boss so I could be with my then young children and get a greater work/life balance. I wanted to do something that mainly had a family and children based focus and that was about enjoyment and family fun. Running my own company gave me the chance to work with so many organisations and be part of hundreds of fun and family-oriented events. I love it!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had so many bookings through this platform. So many special birthday parties, weddings and christenings its been amazing to get wonderful feedback from our clients on how we have helped to make their day that little more special. We have worked with huge organisations who have found us through here originally and then have come back to us year after year because they know we are great, talented and reliable. I have used the platform myself to look for other event planners or to recommend to others. It's really been the greatest investment and is so user friendly too.
