What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote for your event we need the event date, the type of event you are organising, e.g. a children's birthday party. An approximate number of people attending the event, the age range of the children attending the event, and duration and timings of the event. With all this information we can put together a party and entertainment package with a price to suit your requirements

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would advise the customer to ask what experience the entertainers have. Are they full time entertainers or do they just perform for some extra cash at weekends. Do they have Public Liability Insurance and DBS checks. Look at reviews and the providers website to get an overall feel of what they provide. If you like the look of what they provide, have a telephone conversation with them to discuss your requirements fully, as a good entertainer should have lots of ideas to help your event go smoothly whilst using their experience to your advantage.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Having entertained for most of our working lives, it was a natural progression to start a business that used all of our entertaining skills. It also means we can also use our event management skills to help organise the logistics of an event.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

One in particular stands out. We were booked to attend a surprise family party and were asked to provide balloon modelling and face painting for the children. The lady who booked us actually lived in Australia, and organised and booked us from there. As we do a lot of seasonal work, we like that we can buy credits rather than paying a 12 monthly subscription. It means we only pay for what we quote for. We have recommended Add to Event to a lot of our entertainer friends.
