What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote I need to know what, where, when and how.
That is to say:
What time do you want the entertainment and how long for?
What is the address of the venue where the entertainment is being held?
What is the date when the event is happening?
What sort of entertainment where you looking for?

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I always advise customers when looking at a quote to make sure they are looking at the bottom line so they don't find out later there are additional overnight accommodation costs or travelling expenses.
Next, I would advise the customer checks that the entertainer is self-contained so they don't have to add on the cost of sound, lighting or staging. For example make sure the entertainer has their own microphone, amplifier etc
Finally, even though caring for the environment is important, the experience is always preferential to greenness.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

This entertainment business was started in the '70s. This was by my father, Brian Frow, as the company "Uncle Brian Ltd". To which I was one of the Directors. Despite being called David, went out as an "Uncle Brian". After a brief sojourn in education and graduating from The University of Manchester in Chemistry in the 80's I became a full-time professional entertainer.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've had a wide range of different bookings through Add to Event. I have only been using Add to Event since 2018 but as clearly demonstrated in Reviews Add to Event is bringing the bookings in. For example in October in 2018 I got a booking which resulted in the feedback "Well worth the money, he did a great job of entertaining the kids. I've already booked him again for my other child's party."
