What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For Story Parties to provide a detailed quote, we require the age of the child/children, the theme of the event, the date, an estimated time for their entertainment, plus location, venue, and any additional requests. We are a bespoke agency and can provide things many other entertainers cannot. From unlimited and unusual characters and themes, to other customisations. We always go the extra mile with special add-ons to create a magical experience.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Most importantly, go to a provider who is an expert and can give guarantees. Parties are so important, and the children want it to be as magical as possible. We would ask the customer to consider carefully the age of the children and what the ideal scenario would be. Go with the advice of an agency that has a wealth of experience at what works best.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Story Parties was inspired by published children's author Julia Suzuki, whose ability to create magical settings and experiences has been transposed into the format of the children's character parties. The parties have storytelling elements and oodles of magic, just like how reading a magical story takes you to a wonderful place in your imagination; our entertainers bring this to reality.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There has been so many bookings through Add to Event that have gone wonderfully well, from storytelling Santa at Winter festivals, to our Paw Patrol parties where our special dog attends as Chase. Plus, magicians, DJ's and endless characters that arrive in costume including princesses and Mickey Mouse. Our reviews are great. At the most recent Paws Patrol party, our client was so pleased she is sending us her pictures to feature on the website and said the children couldn't have wished for a better party experience. I would recommend Add to Event to catering companies for kids parties, as parents and organisers are often asking for everything to be organised.
