What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The more information, the better! Every party is different just like every child is different, so it's really important to get all the information upfront.
Clear communication is key in the early stages of party planning in order for us to create a truly memorable experience.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your research, it's tempting to pick the first person on a google list or go for the cheapest option, but just like going to a restaurant the levels vary hugely.
It's important to remember you are hiring a professional who is there to make life easy for you, they should be able to offer you advice and support throughout!
And finally, get everything in writing, a contract is the best way outlining everything that is going to be provided for the party, and any professional entertainer should provide this as a standard part of their service.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I originally trained as an actor, then went on to perform at holiday parks around the UK.
One day I was offered the chance to perform in Lapland for 6 weeks, the only problem is they wanted a Children's entertainer and storyteller, so I leant some magic tricks and within a month I was off to Lapland for the winter!
After this experience, I very quickly found that I was pretty good at magic and really enjoyed performing in front of families and it was not long before I was doing more magic shows than acting.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
