What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, the customer will be able to provide us with the event date, location, venue type, guest numbers and what type of drinks they'd like served. It's always good to get an idea of the 'feel' of the event the client is after; examples from other parties that they may have been to or heard about works too.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Does the supplier make you feel comfortable in choosing them? Furthermore, do they seem trustworthy? Are you able to get hold of them to answer even the most menial of questions? We are inundated with last-minute requests from customers who have been let down last minute by their supplier. This generally due to the supplier being a small one-man-band outfit who is unable to provide what they have initially promised. We have a 100% attendance rate for all of our events over the past 12 years.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The business was started by Lewis Spindlove in 2005 when he was working in a variety of cocktail bars in Bristol. A customer saw that he was entertaining, and asked if he could come and work at a small house party. From then on, everything just grew and grew, with Lewis still at the reins with a wealth of event knowledge. We have managed event bars all over the UK, as well as overseas in India, Mauritius, Germany, Austria, France, Ireland and Holland.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Our favourite event that we pitched for through Add to Event was last summer when Lamborghini in Pangbourne, Berkshire submitted an enquiry for their showroom relaunch party. I think we beat around 20 other quoters in the process! The clients chose us for our personable approach, and clear experience in the field of high-end luxury events, as well as case studies from many other showroom events that we have catered for. For this event, we supplied a large custom-branded mobile bar unit, a team of cocktail bartenders and floor staff, plenty of Italian beers, prosecco and cocktails along with logistics services either side. The end result was magical, with Lamborghini inviting us back to do it all over again at Christmas!
