What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for Mint Cocktail Company to provide a comprehensive quote to a potential customer we would ideally require as much information as possible. A brief explanation of their event including the number of guests attending the event, where the event will be held, what type of event they are holding and also their budget. It would be an added bonus if the organiser knew how many drinks on average their guests would require, but this isn't essential.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's hard enough to organise an event as it is, but finding the perfect supplier should be stress free. In our industry, we are used to organising and delivering events, so don't be frightened to ask questions. If the supplier is as passionate about what they do as we are, they will assist you as much as they can. It's as much about relationships as it is services. You want a supplier that you can trust and approach with ideas. If we were to give one word of advice, it would be to be specific in knowing what you want, and do your research.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Mint Cocktail Company was founded in 2016. Our founder was managing a newly built cocktail bar in a small town and noticed the attraction its customers had to cocktails. Customers were visiting at all times of the day to see the theatre and to taste the new exciting drinks. Joe saw an opportunity to expand on this attraction as the customers were interested in knowing more about cocktails, including how to make them, and what ingredients to use.

Mint Cocktail Company was formed offering its customers the chance to take part in a cocktail masterclass from the comfort of their own homes, or private venues. We'd supply the alcohol, glassware and equipment and hold a cocktail making session where guests could make and enjoy drinks for occasions such as birthday parties and hen dos.

In early 2017 Mint Cocktail Company decided to expand its services to offer mobile cocktail bars. We loved seeing bars made from old wood and pallets so we set about making some mobile cocktail bars. Now as well as offering cocktail masterclasses, we now cater for events which require a mobile cocktail bar.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is such an easy platform to reach potential customers. The events you don't know about that require your services come straight to you. We're fairly new to Add to Event and have received two bookings that we are about to deliver in July. We know that we offer an outstanding service, so we are looking forward to the feedback.

I've already recommended Add to Event to an ice cream cart supplier that is local to us. They took a quick look and found the website really useful and hopefully they'll join.
