What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote to a customer, ideally I would need the following: event date, event venue with address, rough number of guests, start time, end time and occasion (wedding/40th birthday etc...)

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Planning an event can be hard work. From the decorations to the food to the balloon arch, but one thing that often gets overlooked is the music. Booking a quality DJ, without fail, will take your event from good to great. So if you're looking to throw a memorable party, why not book a DJ who's guaranteed to keep the dance floor filled from start to finish, regardless of the genre. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Having always been into music, my iPod was always on the aux at every single house party I attended. I was then asked to DJ a friend's birthday party, where I literally just used virtual DJ and my laptop/touchpad to "mix songs" without headphones. From this party I had 5 enquiries to play at other upcoming 18th birthday parties - I then purchased my first mobile DJ set-up, self-taught to beat match on a USB controller, and the rest is history.
