What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote to a customer, ideally I would need the following: event date, event venue with address, rough number of guests, start time, end time and occasion (wedding/40th birthday etc...)

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Planning an event can be hard work. From the decorations to the food to the balloon arch, but one thing that often gets overlooked is the music. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Having always been into music, my iPod was always on the aux at every single house party I attended. I was then asked to DJ a friend's birthday party, where I literally just used virtual DJ and my laptop/touchpad to "mix songs" without headphones. From this party I had 5 enquiries to play at other upcoming 18th birthday parties - I then purchased my first mobile DJ set-up, self-taught to beat match on a USB controller, and the rest is history.

I am a new user of Add to Event, so I'm really looking forward to my first booking and the many more that follow!
