What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For advice hiring a Wedding or Party DJ, the proof is in the reviews, if they have 5 stars there generally good and know what they are doing, secondly, I would ask for videos of them working the crowds! This is an essential in my opinion, anyone can mix music but it’s all about working the crowd and getting them up on the dance floor and keeping them there. Lastly, meet your DJ in person if you can, you will be able to tell whether they are for you and your event very quickly and it will make everything so much easier to organise.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Hi, have been a DJ since I was 10 years old! I know that sounds crazy but it’s the truth... as a 10 year old I was sat behind technics 1210s after school every day, this soon lead to playing publicly and shortly I studied music production at university and went on to become a music production technician on channel 4 for a few years to gain the equipment knowledge that I needed to start my own business. For the past 7 years, I have been building up my clientele and reputation to become one of the best Wedding/Party DJs in the midlands.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

No bookings as of yet as I've only just joined, however, I’m optimistic as the platform is fantastic!

"First class service from start to finish. Chris went above and beyond to ensure our 50th celebration charity event for adults with disabilities was a huge success. Communication before, during and after was excellent. Chris even liaised with our band to make sure the night flowed effortlessly. We hired some additional extras such as room lighting, personalised marquee letters in lights with our charity name "enabled", giant illuminated numbers, selfie pod and Chris saved the day by managing to get us a sweety cart at short notice! Chris created a fun, energetic atmosphere with song choices and MC'ing that made sure the dancefloor was always full! We can't thank him enough for making our night as special as it was!"

"From the start, communication from Jon was spot on. On the night of the party, he ensured my husband was announced on his way into the room to one of his favourite songs. The songs and great mix of genres of music played throughout the night were great and the dance floor was always buzzing. He accepted and honoured all song requests from our guests. Jon was very professional, but very friendly.. post party communication was great!! Asked permission first to post video taken at the party, on his social media which i happily agreed to. I would definitely use The Party Hire Guys again for future functions and I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a great DJ for their next event. Thanks for a great night!!"
