Authenticity is key.

We are one of the 3 Maori Cultural companies based in the UK. There are many non-authentic and in all honesty, do poorly in performance and paying homage to the culture.

You wouldn't go to a chinese restaurant and order a pizza and expect the same quality.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

TOA was built on my passion for my culture and keeping it alive.
People are always so interested in the Maori people so to have this opportunity to share our stories and culture is an honour.
Now I have an outlet for my passion and only hope that people look into themselves and ask questions about who they are and where they come from.
True power is knowing who you are, where you're from and what you're willing to stand for or against.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I did a gig just yesterday and I've got to say, I was well looked after from start to finish.

It was a World Picnic event in Milton Keynes and although the weather didn't play its part, we still have a good number of people attend and take part in our interactive haka.

I had a great reception and feedback about my performance and was happy that I was so well received.
