What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we would ideally need to know the type of event, where the potential venue is and the type of performer that is required, how long they are required and what is expected of them. From this, we can use our experience and expertise and tailor a quote to the individual event. However to fully confirm the quote we would then have a little chat with the organiser to make sure we are supplying exactly what the organiser is asking for.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The customer must know roughly what they want from the event and the performer. It is no good asking for a fire-breather if the venue doesn't allow fire. It is no good asking for a stilt walker if the venue has height restrictions. Give the provider as much information as required and a quote can be tailored, however, provide as much information as possible or the provider will move onto the next customer.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

PAL Entertainments started 5 years ago after we closed down our voluntary dance company to go commercial. We also found out the dancers we were working with had more skills we could utilise than we imagined. We then wanted to develop the business to offer more events and opportunities for our performers and our expanding artists and acts signing up to our books.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a few bookings through Add to Event and all of them have been great. All of our customers gave us the exact requirements and we made sure we matched the right performer. We have had some excellent feedback from every event.
