What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide you with the most acurate quote possible, I ideally require: The event date, time, venue address, type of occasion, and an estimated number of guests. As an added bonus, if you could also include whether it's indoors or outdoors then even better!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I advise customers to make sure that the magician they're looking to hire has and can evidence public liability insurance, and have years of experience performing professionally.

Another piece of advice I'd offer is not just to go for the lowest price, it's better to pay a professional slightly more for an unforgettable experience than it is to pay less to a hobbyist who performs on the side, but provides less of the 'wow' factor.

It's an added bonus if they're a member of a magic club or magic circle, although not essential as hobbyists join them too.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started performing magic at the tender age of 6, and have never looked back. As a 33 year old professional magician i've had the privilege of working for amazing corporations, big lavish weddings and more. The best part is, putting smiles on people's faces.

I love magic and people so performing on a professional basis seemed like the best way forward.

I feel great to make a difference at people's special occasions, no matter how big or small the event is.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I performed a local booking for an Add to Event lead.

I can truly say it was a proud moment for me because the bookers 7 year old daughter followed me around the whole time and became interested in becoming a magician!

I gave her a deck of cards to keep. A few days later I received a 5 star review on Add to Event and a text to say their daughter hasn't stopped playing with the deck of cards since. A real positive impact to a child's life.
