Eventfool is an event planning and catering service, borne out a love for all things cooking. Here they share their tips on finding the best suppliers and what you need to aware of when submitting a request form.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting and eventually the theme of the party, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. Also, because we don't work on pre-packed menus bases, it would be very helpful to know an estimated budget in order to prepare a bespoke plan matching the customer's needs. In this way we can skip a step, sending straight away to the customer our quotation.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

To choose a provider I think is really important have a face to face meeting. I really trust my feelings about people and very often I changed my decisions about a possible supplier after I meet them. My advice is to fix different appointments with different providers before making a decision. Find someone who really shows his/her passion and love for this job, someone who reveals his enthusiasm while talking about your event. Again, choose someone who is flexible, because even a small detail can make the difference, and your event should be unique, with the menu you want, the decorations you imagine, and a good planner must know how to adapt his job to every customer need.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Eventfool was born out of love for all things hospitality! I decided to change my profession when I was 30 years old. In those days I was a secretary, I hated that job, and in my spare time I enjoyed cooking, organizing parties at my house, making cakes for every birthday of my friends and relatives. One day I decided to change my life, and to make of my creativity and passion for food, my job. I have spent 18 years as a wedding planner, caterer and running restaurants.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I think Add to Event is a very good platform, very helpful, especially for customers. I have catered just one wedding through Add to Event, and it was amazing. The client and her guests were very happy and I have received a very good review.
