What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to give potential clients a comprehensive quote, we ideally need the date/time, location, time we are required, potential venue, budget, how many guests and also how close the potential client is to booking. From there we can gauge a quote which is closer to the final price.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would say asking the provider for examples of their work, speaking to the providers over the phone. I find that through this site, you get the essential information, but then it's great to follow up and speak to customers on the phone as then they can go into more detail and I can tell them whether I can help or if I can suggest someone who can.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

More Choice Events was formed from a dream to help people plan their events with little stress, bringing them new ideas and making them smile. I have over 10 years of experience in hospitality and management and after years of working for other companies, my partner and I decided to turn my passion into our own business.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Well, there has been so many but one that I was extremely happy with was one for a lovely lady who had special requests to plan a party for her friend who was someone who always helped others and never really took the time out for herself. I was given the opportunity to create a Beach themed party as holidays made the person in question extremely happy.
The ideas came flooding in and with all of her friends putting money together to pay for the event we were able to hire a venue that let us turn the garden into a beach with sand, swimming pool, deck chairs and sun loungers. The cocktail bar we hired created themed drinks which represented her favourite songs and she had tribute acts to get the party started. Loved this event and would do it all again!
