What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Please let us know the following information so we can provide a quote specific to your own requirements:
date, telephone number, contact email, venue address and time our services are required from and to.
Also the type of event, i.e. birthday party, corporate event or photo shoot, for example.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A professional face painter can create approximately 10-15 quality faces per hour. I'd ask hosts to take this into account when considering how long I will be needed for an event/party. Please note many entertainers have a minimum booking of two hours. Always ask what brand of paint your artist is using, as there are some who still use craft acrylics (which although they state is non-toxic, are not suitable for face paints and can cause permanent scarring). On this note, also make sure your artist is fully insured and get them to send you a copy of their policy to be safe.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Cher's Funky Faces progressed from a hobby, creating smiles on friends children's faces over 10 years ago. It has subsequently become a very rewarding full-time job. It is a great feeling when you hand your customer the mirror and see the smile on their face.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Initially I was unsure about paying for quotes, however the return made from the amount spent has been a great investment. Add to Event's customer service has also been fast and extremely helpful. One of my best bookings so far has been a recent private booking where my client required sugar skulls for 6 ladies going to a Dia de los Muertos event.
