What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a client, I would like to know the following: the type of the event they are holding, the number of guests expected, whether the event is indoors or outdoors and if there is a theme to the party. Also, if the event is a child's party, knowing their age is helpful. With this information I am able to prepare properly for the event and work to my best.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If I were to give advice to somebody looking for a face painter, I would say to always ask how many faces can be painted in a set amount of time. Some painters can paint 8-10 faces in an hour and others up to 15, so this always helps when booking a face painter as if you hire an artist for 1 hour and have 30 guests, there's no way all of these guests would be able to have a face paint.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always been an arty person, and started off my business just by helping a friend! I loved doing face painting/glitter painting and loved seeing the expression on peoples faces when I have finished. I've always wanted to be in the party-entertainment business and this is perfect for me! I love it!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had such a good experience with Add to Event and have already recommended it to others! I have face painted at several birthday parties, all of which have been amazing! I've had some great feedback and excellent reviews, which are always really helpful! An event I have coming up is for a festival style face painting and glitter at a wedding which I am really looking forward to! Had I not been on Add to Event, I would not have got this booking.
