What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to process a comprehensive quote, we need the date, time, location, approximate number of guests and what type of event, e.g: birthday party, hen do, wedding, corporate etc. We need to know if it is indoors or outdoors and what equipment will be provided as there is additional charges for us to bring our own gazebos.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think the most important part of finding out about your face painter is by checking they are fully insured. This is a good indicator that your are hiring a professional who knows how to work within safe guidelines. Almost all face paints are not suitable for face paint children under 3 and a good face painter will know that, in some cases we can paint on a child's arm if they are 2 years and up but not the face until 3. A good face painter will know if their paints are vegan or if their glitter is biodegradable and will be able to provide evidence of this.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have worked with children and young people for many years and decided to move into face painting as I have a strong artist background too. It is the perfect way to mix both my passions! I particularly enjoy working with special needs children and young people, because of my previous work as a support worker I can offer them a next level experience where I understand thoroughly behaviours that others might find more difficult to work with. I also love working entertaining hen do's and being able to part of so many amazing festivals and seeing it all from backstage. I feel extremely lucky to have my business it takes me to so many wonderful occasions.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Well I have had a lot of bookings through Add to Event so it is difficult to pick one out. But if I had to chose, one of the last events I did was a little girls 4th birthday party. I was overwhelmed with how lovely that family was and how grateful they were to me for making it against all odds. It was a beautiful sunny day, the kids were delightful and I was fed cake and smiles the whole event - well worth the effort. I find the reviews section to be the most effective way for me to get reviews out of all of my different advertising platforms. I get reviews for almost every job that I book through Add to Event and less than 1 in 10 for my others.
