What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

SuperStar Face Painting is happy to receive some general information from the client in advance of a booking and asks the client to provide a rough estimate of how many guests they expect at their event requiring face painting. The age group of guests requesting face painting is also advantageous as this helps determine style and design, here SuperStar Face Painting will calculate, depending on the number of guests and age group together to gain an idea of how long each child/ adult will take to complete a general design for that particular themed event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The provider should first and foremost understand risk factors relating to face painting products; that it is essential they only use FDA-approved and sourced products from reputable licensed premises on the faces and body of children and adults. The provider's background and hygiene should be approved by the International Face Painting Association which seeks to educate and regulate Face Painters in the UK so that Face Painters adhere to the guidance that FACE provides. The client needs to seek confirmation that the Face Painter Provider has qualified for appropriate Insurance to cover all eventualities and the Face Painter provider understands the insurance terms adhering to them in all circumstances.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

As a face painter, I have worked for lots of corporate firms, and painted at lots of parties and various events. The best thing about having my own company is having the freedom to be creative from face painting to building my own brand, and designing exciting faces for you. I feel delighted when I see my client's faces light up, when their vision of, for example, a glitter arrangement or my interpretation of a butterfly is realised and reflected back to them in the mirror.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

This site is amazing as it is like a sponge attracting and match potential clients to SuperStar Face Painting that benefits the provider and the client; it's easy to use from the client's perspective to choose and seek what they need. If I had to choose from many bookings I've received via 'Add to Event' it has to be one of my most recent bookings where the client was struggling to decide what exactly they wanted from an Entertainment company. At the outset, from the initial part of the booking process I was able to respond to the client with a general idea, and therefore able to adapt our services to suit the client. We had opportunities to correspond and once all finalised SuperStar Face Painting was able to ensure on the day, the client got exactly what they were hoping for and the event went off with a bang. The client and their guests were so pleased with SuperStar Face Painting that their friends have used the service since, and I've gained much more work from it as a result.
