What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote for a customer, we will need to know the date and time of the event, type of event, what services are required, how long is the artist needed for, the estimated number of guests using the service and if it is an outside or inside event. This is help us out the best package possible to suit the customer's needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look into the pictures the provider has on their social media/website. Make sure that it is the type of work you are looking for.
Ask the provider about their hygiene and safety standards. Also make sure they know what they are doing by making sure they use only professional paint and premium cosmetic glitter.
Have a chat with them before the event to make sure all your questions are answered and that you are both on the same page about the event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always been crafty and liked artistic things. I taught aerial classes to adults and children and I loved working with both! I am a big child and have a great rapport with children. And I love helping adults with either a bit of glamour or revealing their inner child and have loads of fun!!! I started this business when I was made redundant and after doing this as a hobby for a while. For me this is not work.... its fun and enjoyable and I love to bring that to people's events and lives.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I had a few very different events booked through Add to Event. From birthday parties to weddings I find it easier to find customers through here. If I had to pick an event I would say I was divided between two very different ones: Cudworth tea in the park - it was a day with terrible weather but the organisers managed to bring joy to the day and people still came and enjoyed themselves. It was great to put smiles on kid's faces on such a gloomy day. And the glitter bar I did for a wedding in Nottingham on short notice as there were little ones and not-so-little ones enjoying my services. I even did a glitter/facepaint for a gorgeous grandma that never had it before. Her beaming smile after it made my day..... Or in this case my evening!
