What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a quote I need to know the event date and a brief explanation of the type of event. I would also need to know how many guests are attending and if there is an event theme and what the location of the event is. I also need to know whether I am expected to be inside or out in order to have the relevant equipment.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise the customer to ask for examples of the work provided by the face painter, so they can see if it is of the quality that they are looking for. Also whether the provider has insurance and training in there area. For example, if you have someone putting glitter on clients, are they sure that the products they are sticking the glitter to the skin with is correct, is the glitter cosmetic grade? I would also explain what it is they are looking for in order to get the best face painter.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started my business as I love being creative and I love art! I started a makeup course whilst on maternity leave and did face and body painting as part of this and my love for the art grew. I soon realised this was an area I really enjoyed and felt quite natural in, as I was able to express my creativity.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I had a booking through Add to Event at Cannon Hall for a company called Nutricia, who had hired a room there. All the clients that attended the event loved the face painting and complemented how good the face painting was. I tell others about Add to Event and that they should add their business to the platform as it brings in lots of leads.
