What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue. It is helpful if the customer is aware of if a TENS is required and whether there is an electricity hook up point available. Details of the type of bar they are looking for; cash bar, pre-pay, open bar etc. Additionally, knowledge of any special requests in terms of drink selection or services such as welcome drinks, table wine is also helpful.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be as detailed as possible with your thoughts around your special occasion or event, if there is something specific you would like, make sure you ask early if this is possible to ensure your event goes without a hitch. Ask for details of the provider's menu so that you are comfortable with their offerings and their pricing. Find out about the space that they require, and offer a viewing day of the venue to ensure that on the day setup is flawless.

Lakes Horsebox Bar is run by us, Andrew & Jamie. We are two local Cumbrian lads with a passion for both the Lakes and a good knees-up! Bored with the daily grind of working life we decided to take a leap of faith and turn a dream into a reality. We love our social occasions; so we couldn’t think of a better way than to share that love with everyone looking to celebrate their special occasions and events in style. We pride ourselves on maintaining a truly personal customer focus and stocking a selection of great-tasting locally sourced spirits and ales to showcase Cumbria.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We are currently gearing up for our first booking through Add to Event, and we cannot wait! The Add to Event platform has really helped us in the early stages of our business venture and for that we are truly grateful.
