The Paddock Mobile Bar
The Paddock Mobile Bar can supply either a beautifully restored vintage horsebox mobile bar, a converted horse cart providing guests with the finest bubbles and cocktails or a wooden indoor bar for a full bar service.
They share their story and also some advice when looking for a prospective supplier for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a complete quote we would need the date of the event, number of guests you are looking to be served and the location of the event.
Other information to help us provide you with the best mobile bar we offer would be the positioning of the bar (inside or out) from this we can provide you with the options and the costs for potential bars.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would make sure the bar you are hiring has not only the full licence to do so but the trained and friendly staff to be at your event, as they will be having a substantial amount of contact with you and your guests.
Mobile bars also by nature can hold a substantial but not a whole pubs worth of stock, I would always be wary of providers who promise the world, we ensure that all of our customers have the drinks they want at their event and a substantial amount of it and then a full bar service of the remaining you would expect behind the bar.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We are a husband and wife team so in the run-up to our own wedding back in 2016 we really struggled to find a mobile bar provider who allowed us both the freedom we were looking for and the right "look" for our day! (we didn't want a big chunky metal bar with Carlsberg being poured)
We both love meeting new people and being part of a good party with both of us being involved with planning and organizing we thought it would be amazing if we could help others out on their big day or any other event and here we are 3 years later with 4 different bar options and loving every moment.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had all sorts of interesting enquiries and bookings through Add to Event! Probably one of the most completely different and would never have even thought of this before was a film shoot!
We were asked to be part of a filming of a new film starring Clive Owen, which ended up us being in the actual movie too as an extra behind the bar and serving Clive Owen his drink!!
It was a great day and so interesting being part of something so different, as mentioned would never have been able to do it without Add to Event and we always recommend it to others in our industry or even people looking for suppliers.
