What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To help us provide the best quote we can at the first point of contact, we need the date of the event, the venue or at least the area of the venue, how many guests attending and the start and finish times. As we have a mobile bar and a pop-up bar it helps to know if the client wants the bar indoors or outside. This helps us greatly when sending a quote and helps us to be clear about what is included in that quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For the customer to ask a provider what sorts of drinks they stock if there is a wide selection giving your guests greater choice. Also asking a provider early on if they can source any particular drinks that they would like to be served at their event and not the day before. Make sure that the provider can supply cold drinks, do they have a fridge to chill drinks, come with ice, use garnish? Can they offer glassware if needed? Do they help you put together the best drinks menu i.e. adding cocktails that you know your guests would love, stocking the drinks that will be enjoyed by all at the event?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Little's Liquor was put together during lockdown, it has always been a dream of ours, and having the spare time we set about making it a reality. We are a family who love to entertain, having experience of working in busy bars for many years, we enjoy watching people enjoy themselves with their own family and friends. Helping a customer have one less thing to think about at their celebration or event, knowing that we turn up, set up, serve with a smile on our faces and are always friendly and professional.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a great event in our Horsebox for a huge Fireworks Event this year with over 3000 people attending. We supplied Mulled Wine and a gorgeous Warm Spiced Rum & Apple Cocktail, which was very popular. It was the first time that the client had a Horsebox at the event and they were very happy with how the evening went. We had loads of lovely customers coming to our bar, letting us help warm them up with our delicious drinks that filled the air with winter spices. The horsebox also got lots of lovely compliments on how stylish it looked. We have already been booked to go back next year, so we are delighted to put that into the diary.
