What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We would need to know what type of service you would like, the date and where the bar would be located and if there will be room for a horsebox bar for example with room to manoeuvre the bar into place. For us, the location is key, we can only offer an outdoor service being a horsebox bar, so this information is very important.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for the location of where your supplier is based, locality is key and could save you money if there isn't far to travel. If your supplier needs a licence for alcohol service, this licence application takes time, so if you are after a bar with a week's notice, that's going be highly unlikely. Experience of the supplier is also key for the success of your event, ask about the supplier's experience and training, the more experience, the more likely the vent will be a roaring success.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started in 2019, but we have been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. We have managed restaurants and bars of all kinds over the years and we thought it was time to give it a go ourselves. We believe in great customer service, value for money and to treat all customers as friends and how we would want to be treated at a bar. We are friendly, bubbly and try our best to make the event memorable, but we always strive to provide a professional service with great products at reasonable prices.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a booking for a wedding, the bride was super nervous, she didn't know what to expect from a mobile bar and had loads of specific requests for the day. We accommodated her requests for colour scheme, signature cocktail, timings, certain brands of drinks and even made sure we had tea-making facilities for her dad. The event went brilliantly, the sun was out and the drinks flowed all day, it was a really special day and since then, we have become friends and the couple regularly keep in touch and come to see us at festivals near to where they live.
