The Globe Trotter are a Norfolk based mobile bar serving delicious drinks from their renovated horsebox. They've thankfully taken some time out from serving delicious cocktails to give you some valuable advice on what to think about when hiring a mobile bar for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event and which bar they would be interested in hiring.
From this we can put together a quote for them and send them over some of our drink and hire suggestions.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would ask about their menu, you want someone who can give you options and can tailor their event to you, not someone who does the same for every single event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
The Globe Trotter was a dream of ours since 2015, we were travelling Thailand and found so many VW vans that were converted into a bar. We absolutely loved the idea and didn't stop thinking about it, so we decided to go for it!
Amy has been involved in the wedding industry for around 7 years as a make up artist, having worked on various bars throughout the years Amy loves the buzz and atmosphere of weddings and parties! She is the girl behind all the marketing and will be your main contact throughout your booking.
Steven has extensive experience within hospitality. Having worked on bar for many years working within hotels, at festivals and parties and working a large amount of weddings. Steven loves being behind the bar and coming up with some incredible cocktails. He's a pro at the shake which really comes across in the taste!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We're a couple of days into Add to Event so haven't attended an event through this yet! However, we have had some great enquires come through all ready which we're super happy about!
