What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide an accurate quote, all we need to know is: the location of your event, the number of guests, the date & time and how long you wish to have our service for. Once we have this information, we can send across more details and a price.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, make sure the ice cream has been highly reviewed in the past! Check online reviews to see if they have received good reviews for the product. Ask the company how they work, and what their normal procedure is for doing an event- this way you can grasp how easy booking and payments will be.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Daltons Dairy originates from a dairy herd of 500 lovely cows, grazing on the southern edge of the Peak District. We wanted to add value to the milk and create a brand of our own, supplying luxury ice cream to pubs, restaurants, retail and events. We're a family run business with lots of enthusiasm and fresh ideas, and this year have been lucky enough to win a national award for our vanilla ice cream!

We've recently done a 60th birthday party (booked last minute) which was located just down the road from us.
